Dear Gurumaharaja
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I hope you are well.

I often reflect on the instructions you gave at our last meet in Vrndavan. I am still working, although, I have managed to reduce my hours to part time and continue to help out at the Gauranga Mantra Centre. Giving classes there are quite a challenge especially when they are appreciated. I do find it very difficult rising above the need for approval, disctinction and adoration. Moreover, I see his an obstacle to my sadhana, particularly connecting with Nam prabhu.

I remember how Krsna when having killed a demon stands, being showered by flowers sent by the demigods and (Sukadeva Goswami notes) He is completely free of pride. Then, I remember as a young bhakta in 1991 attending your Vyasa Puja in Holland for the first time. I had never seen anything like that before and marvelled at how one could accept such praise without being affected by it in an adverse way.

These memories fill me with deep appreciation and love for you and our esteemed guru paramapara.
